China still ranked for scrap importer

China imported 302,000 tons of scrap in July

According to the related statistics, China imported 302,000 tons of scrap in July. It increased by 42.7 percent compared to the same period of last year. Kazakstan ranked the first with 68,000 tons, up by year-on-year 35.5 percent; Hongkong ranked the second with 60,000 tons, rising by 65.1 percent from a year earlier; Spain ranked the third with 49,000 tons, increasing by 90.1 percent compared to the same period of last year. Moreover, China imported 1.74 million tons of scrap in first 7 months, a 5.5 percent decrease year-on-year.
