Chinese Iron ore stocks remain high in September
The iron ore stocks in the main Chinese ports in September increase to 68 million tons, up by 37 million tons from a month ago. However, some traders believe the actual figure is much higher if plus those quantity stocked outside the ports, which surely influences the spot iron ore price due to weak demand. According to Chinese custom statistic, China imported the iron ore around 306.97 million tons in the first eight months in 2008, soaring by 22.6 percent compared with the same period of last year.
