LME base metal prices on Monday

LME base metal prices on Monday

LME base metal prices have taken different directions, as some increased and others decreased on Monday.

Lead price was boosted by US$69/ton to US$919/ton. According to our understanding, since early this year, the lead price had dropped by about 65 percent due to weak demand from the automobile sector.

Tin price decreased by US$80/ton to US$9,775/ton, while Zinc price dipped by US$14/ton to reach US$1,136/ton. Aluminum price dropped by US$26/ton, hitting US$1,511/ton,

While the Nickel price rose by US$75/ton.
Copper price increased by US$60/ton to US$2,905/ton. Analysts said that the copper price is straining to rise as the stock level increased by 70 percent compared to early this year.
