Taiwan’s iron ore imports decline in April
Taiwan imported 1.114 million tons of iron ore in April, decreased by 6 percent than 92,000 tons in the same time of last year. In addition, the imports of iron ore totaled 5.474 million tons in the first 4 months, decreased by 5.9 percent than 344,000 tons from a year ago.
During January to April, Australia was the main exporter of iron ore to Taiwan at 3.904 million tons, up by 2.7 percent than the same time of last year; Brazil took 1.366 million tons, down by 21.3 percent from a year earlier; Canada provided 203,000 tons, down by 27.2 percent than the same time of last year.
